Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/4.0
"What is the best lens for the Canon EOS 5Ds? I have the 50mm, looking to buy a 18-55mm."
Hi Lisa,
Thanks for asking about the best lens for your Canon 5Ds. Unfortunately, the 18-55 lenses are the smaller EF-S lenses and do not work on a full frame Canon camera, like your 5Ds.
You might consider getting a quality "L" lens, like the 24-105mm f/4.0 or the 24-70 f/2.8 to get a somewhat similar angle of view and zoom range as the 18-55. You've likely invested a large amount of money to get a great camera and should probably get a lens of similar quality to match.
You might find my video "EF-S Versus EF Lenses helpful" On YouTube.
Here's a post on this website on the same topic: EF Versus EF-S Lenses.
