TX1 camera is showing upside down images on screen

by Sanjeev
(India)

Hello,
My Canon TX1 camera when switched on is showing upside down images on the LCD screen. Therefore I am not able to either click pictures or take video.

I have this camera since last 6 yrs and everything was fine until recently, when this malfunction incurred. I tried switching on/off, looked into the settings but nothing could be found.

Regards,
Sanjeev

Thanks for your question about the Powershot Tx 1. Unfortunately, I have no experience with Canon video cameras.

Your issue is one that I've never heard of. You might have to go to Canon.india web site and find an authorized service center.

The fact that you camera was released to market in 2007 makes it "old" and might not be worth fixing today.

You can get the user guide here: http://support-in.canon-asia.com/contents/IN/EN/0900112601.html

Good Luck,

TX1 screen permanently upside down fix
by: Adrian

After many years in storage the viewfinder image on my Canon TX1 was upside down permanently. After a couple of squirts of WD40 in and around hinge assembly where the viewfinder rotates everything is back to normal now....... Easy as.
