Canon Lens Vs Sigma 600mm Lens lens

by Lee Ellen W King
(Charleston, SC, USA)

"I want to get the best zoom I can. I’ve looked into the Sigma 600. Is there a Canon lens for my 90D that would work as well?"

Hi Lee Ellen,

Thanks for your question. I'm not sure which Sigma 600 you are referring too. They each have a target use. Can you be more specific? Also, can you share exactly what type of photography you'll be doing and if you have a certain budget to follow? Be glad to give you my thoughts.

Thanks again,

Bruce

600mm Sigma Lens.For Canon
by: Anonymous

I am assuming that you are talking about the 150-600 lens.
Buying a lens is all about money.
The Sigma is significantly cheaper than the Canon 100-400 which I have. It is also longer and heavier so it’s a question of whether you can handle the sigma.
People get good results with the Sigma. However, the Canon is an all round superior lens.
Apart from the 100- 400 I have the Canon 600 f4 mk 2. this is truly stunning but it’s very big and VERY expensive. It is a specialist lens and most people will do very well with a zoom.
