Canon M6 Time Lapse
Canon EOS M6 Time Lapse Not Working
I have a Canon EOS M6, I have been struggling to figure out HOW to use the movie time lapse mode.
It doesn’t take pictures by itself with the intervals I’ve set it to. Once I press the shutter it takes the initial picture and that is it.
I’ve searched videos and I don’t know what’s happening, I need help!
Hello,
Sorry for your issue on getting the time lapse function working on your Canon M6. There should be adequate help to solve your problem as the M6 (I) was released in 2017 and plenty of them have been out in the field for quite some time.
Canon M6 Time Lapse Menu SettingsI haven't gotten word of any other M6 users having the same problem with their time lapse recordings.
How to start recording time lapse on Canon M6
It could be just a simple matter of pushing the record mode rather than the shutter button. According to the M6 manual (page 64) there are 4 steps to take for recording time lapse video. The 4th step is possibly where you've taken the wrong step:
"To start recording, press the movie button". In your question you said you pressed "the shutter." I'm wondering whether that's the answer.
Please, please, please let me know if this helped.
Thanks so much,
Bruce
