"Hi Bruce,
I read a review on amazon you wrote about a Canon EVF-DC1 Electronic Viewfinder on your canon g1x markii.

My question is I have a Canon g1x that I had converted to infrared. I love the camera and photo quality in infrared. My problem is that the live view viewfinder is terrible. I was hoping I could add on the Canon EVF-DC1 Electronic Viewfinder to my hot shoe but not sure it would work and can't find the answer anywhere. Thought since you had both that you might know?

Hi Ed,
Thanks for your question about the EVF viewfinder for your Canon G1X. My first guess would be that it will show you exactly what you see on the LCD screen, but I can't say I've had any person experience with that. I'd call Canon directly and talk to one of the techs on the phone.

One thing I will defend Canon on is the answers you can get for specific questions like yours. 1-800-652-2666
