help me upload photos to laptop from camera? john
H John,
Thanks for your question about how to upload the pictures from your Canon SX160 IS to your laptop. Sorry for your troubles.
Without knowing what type of laptop you have and what is happening or not happening, it is challenging for me to give you a precise answer.
Congrats on having a Canon SX160 IS by the way. Even though it's 8 years old now, the SX160 is a capable camera.
How to transfer SX160 IS Photos
I recommend that you remove the SD memory card from your SX160 instead of using a transfer cable. You can either use the SD card slot that is already on the side of your laptop computer, or you can get a USB card reader adapter for your SD memory card. Rather than a lengthy explanation that might not apply to you, I've given you 3 links to videos (below) that should help. If not,
don't hesitate to get back to me with more specifics on what is the issue you're having.
Thanks,
Bruce
